Universal 2-Tire TPMS Kit by Torxe™. Frequency: 433 Mhz. Monitor your motorcycle’s tire pressure and temperature at a glance, while you ride, with this tire pressure monitoring system. For greater riding safety, a flashing display and audible alarm will alert you in the event of incorrect tire pressure, excessive tire temperature, or a tire that’s leaking fast due to a puncture. The easy to install kit includes a rechargeable battery powered LCD display monitor, monitor handlebar mount, 2 battery powered sensors, USB charging cable, and detailed user and installation instructions.
In response to a rising number of accidents and fatalities caused by tire failures due to underinflation, Congress mandated that cars and light trucks had to be factory equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) beginning in 2007. If underinflated tires were such a danger to 4-tired vehicles that a law was passed, it doesn’t take much imagination to see how serious a problem underinflated tires can be on a motorcycle with only 2 tires. “Your tires are the only thing between you and the road” may sound cliché but with a motorcycle it’s literally true because if you have a blowout or a puncture that causes sudden, rapid tire deflation on a bike, you’re most likely going down. A few modern bikes come from the factory with TPMS systems, and these are usually expensive models. But you don’t have to spend big bucks on a new bike to get this important safety feature, all you need is the affordable, easy to use and install, Torxe 2-Tire TPMS kit.
Besides making your bike handle poorly, low tire pressure can make tires run hotter, which can drastically reduce their lifespan and even result in total failure. In extreme cases low tire pressure can result in rim damage, and could even cause the bead to unseat and come off the rim. Overinflation can also be problematic, reducing tire contact and traction, and causing a harsh reaction to bumps, which can destabilize the bike. TPMS or not, you should regularly check your tire pressure with a reliably accurate gauge, preferably before every ride. But even if you’re fastidious about inflation pressure, it won’t help if you pick up a nail on the road – unless you have the Torxe TPMS kit. This kit can alert you to such an occurrence and much more.
